The amazing travelling music festival Vans Warped Tour 2014 will be making a stop in Chula Vista at the Sleep Train Amphitheater on Wednesday, June 25. See all your favorite bands in one place with a stunning lineup including The Ghost Inside, The Summer Set, For Today, Falling in Reverse, Front Porch Step, Air Dubai and more. Here’s what you need to know, a guide to the Vans Warped Tour, presented by the Marina Inn & Suites in downtown San Diego.
Tickets are available on-line through your local tour date page on the Vans Warped Tour website, which also includes information on the bands playing at your locale, parking and transportation logistics, and more. Buy tickets from Ticketmaster or at select outlets located at Kroger, Giant Eagle, Wal-Mart and other retailers. Be sure to bring your ticket or print-out to the concert. If you haven’t purchased ahead, tickets are usually available the day of the show; check the website before heading to make sure of availability. Minors (under 18) are allowed one complimentary parent or guardian admission per show; escort tickets are non-transferable and are available only at the yellow-top Vans Warped Tour guest van near the entrance venue.
Doors usually open at 11:00 am the day of the concert and shows are closed down by 9:00 pm. Folks aiming to get in early and avoid long lines can head to the Feed Our Children NOW! Tent and make a $5.00 donation contribute three canned goods or donate a used cell phone; in return you’ll get a skip the line wristband and do some good too.
To Bring and Not to Bring
Stay cool and comfortable by wearing comfortable sneakers, a hat and plenty of sunscreen. One sealed bottle of water is allowed, which can be refilled at hydration stations throughout the venue. Bottled water is also available. You’ll also want to bring a snack, small camera, sharpie for autographs and a fully charged cell phone. Items not allowed include chains, professional cameras, recording devices, alcohol, firearms, weapons, knives or illegal substances.
Along with free water refills, Warped offers designated shade tents, misting stations and an awesome slip and slide. There’s even a Reverse Day Care air-conditioned tent for parents needing a break from the heat and music.
