As Halloween approaches San Diegans are beginning to see the candy, costumes and creepy decorations come out in full force. If you have the kids in tow, here is a list of the top 3 family-friendly Halloween events in San Diego this month:
- Sea World’s Spooktacular. Through October 27th visitors are able to enjoy special Halloween inspired shows and even trick or treating! Kids are encouraged to dress up in costume and take photos with some of the theme park’s famed characters. San Diego Sea World parking can always be tricky, so be sure to show up early and know that weekdays are always less crowded.
- Old Town Trick-or-Treat. Old Town San Diego kid’s activities are bountiful and this is one of the best. On Halloween little ghouls and goblins are invited to trick-or-treat throughout the Old Town San Diego State Historic Park. Kids are treated to free goodies and candies but if your want a little “trick” you can go on special Halloween tours at the haunted Whaley House.
- Balboa Park Family Day. On October 26 from 11am To 3pm Over 12 museums at Balboa Park will open their doors for free for children 12 and under with a paid adult admission. Families will be guided on special and spooky Halloween tours and can enjoy storytelling and possibly some deliciously free treats.
