Watch the Padres Game at a Petco Park Bar
Whether due to poor planning or budget constraints, going to a live game at Petco Park just isn’t in the cards for this San Diego vacation. However, if you still want to head downtown and join the boisterous Padres fans, there are plenty of bars that you can always count on to play the Padres games. With beers and ballpark food readily available and Padres fans surrounding you, you’ll feel right at home at any of the following Petco Park bars.
One of our favorite Petco Park bars is Bub’s at the Ballpark. Watch the game on the bar’s 50” television screens! In addition to the Padres games, other televisions will be playing whatever sports are also taking place. Ask your server for one of Bub’s soundogs and you’ll be able to hear the commentary of whatever television you wish at your very own table. Offering a full bar, daily drink specials and a menu with everything from salads and sandwiches to burgers and wings, a trip to Bub’s for a Padres game is a must!
If you’re with a large group of people and need a place that has a lot of offerings, in terms of beers and food, head over to the Yard House. The Yard House has more than a dozen beers on tap, as well as a lengthy wine list and specialty drink menu. In terms of your actual meal, you can opt to go for classic ballpark fare or spice it up with something new. For the best deals, stop in for their weekday happy hour or weekend late night happy hour.
Another bar that you can’t go wrong at is Tivoli. A dive bar located just one block from the Park, you can hear the screaming crowd as you pass. With a small outdoor patio and plenty of indoor seating, you can easily find room to sit back, lounge and watch the game. Tivoli also offers happy hour seven days a week so take catching the game here surely won’t be too far out of your budget.
