Horton Plaza Parking & Rate Information
Horton Plaza is located in downtown San Diego on Broadway and G Street and First and Fourth Avenues. Steps from the historic Gaslamp Quarter, the Horton Plaza Mall is a popular stop for vacationers. For those interested in visiting Horton Plaza, we’ve provided a few tips for parking in the area as downtown city parking can be overwhelming and a bit of a hassle for travelers unfamiliar with the area.
- For a quick trip or browse. If you are planning on going to Horton Plaza for a short walk around or to check out its iconic architecture, try your luck at metered street parking. While this type of parking is often difficult to find, it will be the most affordable for those who are staying at the mall for less than 2 hours.
- For lunch or a small shopping spree. Visitors who are stopping by Horton Plaza for lunch or to do a little shopping should park in the private lot at Horton Plaza. With a minimum purchase of $10 from one of the mall’s restaurants or retailers, the first three hours of parking will be free. Without validation, parking in this lot is $8 per hour.
- For more than 3 hours. There are various lots throughout downtown San Diego that offer parking for a flat rate fee. If you are planning to spend more than 3 hours at the mall or want to explore other areas downtown after visiting Horton Plaza, these parking lots offer the most value. Look for the value lots which range from $15-$25 per day.
